Rain poured from the darkening sky, cooling down the warm asphalt. The day had been horrendously hot, scorching the sidewalks and melting the tar on rooftops. The unique smell of newly wet pavement still hung in the air, ushering in the coolness of night. The streets were fairly populated, despite the rain. Everyone was taking respite in the temperature change the rain brought. Rats were coming out from their underground kingdoms in search of the days trash; picking through garbage bins and sniffing their way down the alleys.

Outside, the rain falls from the upper black of the sky like
un-witnessed tears. Wind is scraping the skyscrapers, rattling loud neon signs, whistling through abandoned blackened brick frames. The wet teardrops are hurled against a window, blasting into several minute liquid spiders, each drop-crawling their way down the pane. Inside, a bundle of black silk sheets rustle with annoyance. Tap-tap-tap. Rain pelting glass, the bundle stirs again. This time, the foothill of silk erupts in
What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.
You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
